Banana Bread
It's worth baking just for the wonderful aroma! It's the only thing good about overripe bananas.
My stepmom makes my favorite banana bread. Of course, she gave me the recipe.
Debbie's Banana Bread Recipe:
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 3 mashed bananas
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Optional:
- Add 1/2 cup of one or two of the following: pecans, chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, walnuts...
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease loaf pan. Coat pan with cinnamon sugar (1 part cinnamon, 4 parts sugar) or flour. Mix all the above ingredients until well combined. Pour into loaf pan. Bake for 1 hour.
Mmmm...mmmm. Smells delightful. Tastes even better.

Sure, I'd love a pan of that bread Amanda. Thanks for asking! :)
@willhutto - If I had known you were going to be at the church, I seriously would have sent some home for you, Kim and Leslie. I think Brian is taking Allen some tomorrow. I'm all out of over-ripe bananas. :(
