She went out with her boots on!
Brian and I love the movie, Secondhand Lions.
It was on TV last night after the kiddos were in bed, so we watched the last part of it. Something struck me that had not struck me before. Twice in the movie they say, "Well at least he went out with his boots on." I think that is hilarious. So, I made Brian promise that when I die he will say, "Well, at least she went out with her boots on." If you are at my funeral please know that he hasn't gone off the deep end or lost it. He's just fulfilling a promise (lol).
I think dying with your boots on means that you died living, really living. I want do that. I want to live so hard and so full that all y'all say, "At least she died with her boots on." You might think this is morbid but it isn't. It's about what comes between now and morbid. It's about the living part of my time here. It's about my savoring each day and enjoying everything. I think it can be said more properly by reading this, http://weblog.xanga.com/TrentTribe/654568843/live.html
