  • Remind Me: My Strong Tower

    Sometimes I have to remind myself.  Sometimes life is overwhelming and it is easy to forget.

    The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe (Proverbs 18:10).

    For You have been a shelter for me, a strong tower from the enemy. (Psalm 61:3)."  

    He is my strong Tower that rises high above, offering an entirely new perspective of my world and the goings on around me.

    His shelter offers me peace and comfort.  In the wonderful peace of His shelter, I can rest while He directs and guides me. 

    From within the tower my perspective changes.  The Goliaths — the overwhelming giants below, which looked so terrible - seem insignificant.  The dream killers - the critics who would get the best of me - lose their grip and my dreams remain! 

    It is from my Strong Tower that I see the people I love, those who hurt and reject me, those who misunderstand, those I cannot understand.... Suddenly I see their hurt and their rejection.  I have compassion for them.

    He is my Strong Tower.  My refuge.  My defense.  It is from within this Strong Tower that my dreams are born and grow! 

    He is your Strong Tower.  He will give you refuge.  Don't let the Goliaths destroy what your Creator has placed within.  Your Creator intends for you to soar.  

    We can do hard things.  We have a BIG God. 

    We can achieve the impossible.  God is good at making all things possible.
