  • Nothing to Fear

I can't help posting this every year.  (Yes!  It's that good.)

The founder of the Overseas Missionary Fellowship, J. Hudson Taylor, used to hang in his home a plaque with two Hebrew words on it:  "Ebenezer" and "Jehovah-Jireh".  Ebenezer means, "Hither to hath the Lord helped us" (1 Sam. 7:12).  Jehovah-Jireh means "The Lord will see to it" (Gen. 22:14) And so whether he looked back or ahead, Hudson Taylor knew the Lord was at work, and he had nothing to fear.

And so, 2010 is my Ebenezer and 2011 is my Jehovah-Jireh.  I have nothing to fear.
