  • Nothing Is Impossible

    Day 2 of Awakening (21 days of prayer and fasting).

    Our daily lives have become so hectic that often times the world's distractions prevent us from hearing God's voice.  Through fasting we disconnect from the world.  Through prayer we connect to God.  We hear his voice and feel his presence like never before! 

    At the end of December, my husband and I felt led to do a three day fast.  Believe me, it was hard knowing that the 21 day fast was coming. lol  But it was confirmed in both our hearts so deeply, we obeyed this leading.  Some hard things had transpired in December and we were struggling with hearing the Lord's voice.  We needed direction from him.  We needed to hear him say, "this is the way, walk in it".  During and the days after this fast, we received clear direction from the lord and saw some huge changes take place!  One very tangible miracle occurred during this time as well.

    I've shared before about our Elkanah House.  We bought a wonderful little house back in October!  We are so thankful to the Lord for allowing us to have this house.  We have a very small mortgage.  (We hate that we even have a mortgage at all!)  Part of having a small mortgage was making the decision to buy a house that needs some renovations to suit our family.  Part of having a small mortgage was making the decision to not finance additional money in order to complete those renovations.  We've been renovating the old fashion way.  Saving the money and doing the work ourselves.  In November, we completed the renovations we could and began saving money for the next BIG renovation (converting our garage into additional living space).  We had planned three phases for this renovation and had enough money by Christmas for the first phase.  During our fast, the chief received an envelope addressed to him but with no return address.  Inside the envelope was a check for the remaining amount we needed to complete all three phases of the renovation!

    Regardless of where you are or what's happening in your life, you can plug into this power!  You can awaken to a greater relationship with God.

  • Oh, my, goodness, I just wrote on my blog and before signing out I decided to look in on yours and here you are with Awakening!!! Perfect! I LOVE your header verse and what you are doing here. It appears as if some of us are in similar places in life, though not similar ages. I love that we can be encouraged and supported and God's timing is such a blessing! I will be praying for you as you fast, pray, and look at continuing to remodel the old fashioned way (same here with the remodel!!) Thanks for your friendship!
