Receiving = Giving
“Give and gifts will be given to you; a good measure, packed together, shaken down, and overflowing, will be poured into your lap. For the measure with which you measure will in return be measured out to you." Luke 6:38
This verse certainly applies to money but not only money. It applies to anything in life. If you give a smile, you’ll receive a smile. If you give comfort, you’ll receive comfort. If you give anger, you’ll receive anger. If you give teaspoons, you'll receive teaspoons ("the measure with which you measure"). If you give gallons, you'll receive gallons!
A dear friend shared with me the other day how she believes that if you need something, you should give something. In particular she needed encouragement, so she chose to give encouragement to another, knowing as she did that she would receive encouragement. I love love love her thinking!
God pours himself into our lives, and we turn right around and pour into the lives of others. We continue to give as we continue to receive. May we give with good measure so we can receive with good measure!
Receiving really does = Giving.

"If you need something, you should give something." So simple but at the same time life changing.
It is so true....I need peace about a difficult situation. How do I give peace?
great thoughts. I think it's also important not only to give just to receive, but instead give without expecting return because this is true love. In the end you will be blessed for giving one way or another, in this life or the next
