  • Something "About Me" Has Changed

I gave up diet dr. pepper.  I did.  I really really did. And diet coke.  Pretty much all soda.

I say soda, but I'm really thinking "pop".  Virginians say pop.  South Carolinians say soda.  Did you know that?  Do you say soda or do you say pop?

I have a sprite zero every once in a while (Sonic with low cal cherry flavoring).  But seriously, I'm a water drinker now.  It's been months and months. Guess I have to change my "about me".  ;)

  • i'm from nj-i say soda.  here in maine i hear a lot of people say "soder"  too funny. words that end in "er" they say like "ah"  lobstah, words that end in "a" they say "er" --and they tell me i talk funny :) --karen

  • Good for you!  I gave up soda 2 years ago-sometimes I STILL crave it.  My addiction was Coke.  Regular, good old fashioned, nondiet Coke.   Here in Arizona everyone says soda... when I lived in Missouri it was pop.  I remember getting some strange looks when we first moved because we said the "wrong" thing.  heheh

  • I switched to water for awhile, but got sick and all I could handle was sprite. After that, it's been Dr Pepper and root beer. :/ I have to go back to water. I've gained too much! Oh, and we call it soda or teasingly, "sodey".

  • yay for you!  I'm not a soda drinker either and actually don't really enjoy the stuff either.  Maybe it helps that I was raised on it.
