To be continued...
Received a free subscription to Cookie Magazine. I'm still deciding if I like the magazine. But that is neither here nor there. My purpose in telling you about the subscription is the chalkboard featured in the latest issue. It was beautiful and I've never been one to think chalkboards are beautiful.
So commenced my search for a chalkboard of my very own. Guess what I turned up for FREE?
She's a little beat up, dusty, and old. Love her!
Seriously, love her.
She's huge. I pieced together three boards. Rolled on some black chalkboard paint. The boards were rough and even had holes in them. Love them!
My chalkboard inspiration:
Imagine my surprise when I came home to four large pumpkins and eight small pumpkins lined up on my walkway! When we decorated for fall a few days ago, I mentioned that all we needed was pumpkins. Well, a sweet friend decided to bless me with some pumpkins grown in her garden.
If your memory is real good, you'll remember that I planted pumpkins in my garden. There's a tricky thing that I didn't know. Our pumpkin seeds are the seeds we saved from last year's pumpkins. Last year's pumpkins were bought at a local produce market. They are an hybrid (I didn't know). The seeds will grow vines but do not produce pumpkins. We had beautiful vines and beautiful blooms. No pumpkins. So, learn from my lesson - hybrid pumpkin seeds will not grow pumpkins.
My sweet friends grew pumpkins and blessed me with a bounty of them. THANK YOU! (I'm jumping up and down and squealing!) THANK YOU!
The pumpkin delivery made my day! (Which was rather difficult and frustrating prior to the pumpkin delivery.) I AM SO THRILLED TO HAVE PUMPKINS! (More jumping up and down and squealing!)
We homeschool and my hubs works from home. Nearly all our meals are at home. Here is my kitchen schedule,
Fix breakfast. Make a snack. Fix lunch. Make a snack. Fix Supper. Make a snack.
My kitchen only closes when their eyes close.
My beloved dishwasher, overworked for sure, has finally died. A new part may revive her but it is very likely that a new dishwasher will have to take her place. Until then, I have to take her place.
I'm trying to think on more lovely things. This post made me chuckle, My Mother and the Military.
