Peace and Quiet at the TrentTribe Retreat (+Giveaway)
Peace and quiet.
I actually went looking for the lil' guy because I hadn't heard him for several minutes. Y'all know how alarming those quiet moments can be.
I found him wrapped in a blanket sitting in his lil' mushroom chair. Turns out one of his sisters was playing with him. She wrapped him like a baby and told him she'd be right back. He must of waited more than a few minutes...

The whole atmosphere can be changed by a scented candle. The smell, the glow of the flame... Romantic, homey, comfort...
My goal in homemaking is to make the atmosphere of our home such that the family can't wait to get back to it. I want our home to be a retreat. I want the sights, sounds, and smells to be divine! Candles are an inexpensive way to add that something special.
So, in honor of the Blogoversary, I'm giving away a scented candle for one lucky winner's very own
homeretreat.A dear friend of mine lovingly makes these and they are delightful! She makes dozens of scents. It's hard to have a very favorite. Hansel and Gretal (think gingerbread with a little sugar cookie, some other sweets and other spices) is definitely one of my favorites.
To win, simply leave a comment (include your email so I can contact you). If it's your first time commenting, tell me about yourself. I'll announce the winner on Saturday, March 28.

My home is truley my retreat. There's no place like home. I love going out each day and being around people, but I love even more coming home.
Your little guy is so cute! Judah? I think that's his name, I remembered because I have a Judah who isaround the same age. That candle sounds wonderful. I love burning candles, but so often forget. When I do burn them, I wonder why I don't do it more often! Happy Blogoversary! Thanks for the cake and punch!
@rachi882 - We do both have a Judah. Don't you love that name? Thanks for entering the giveaways!
@katbird22 - I have to agree with you. You have always made your home a retreat. Coming to your house is like taking a mini-vacation. I've learned so much from you about hospitality.
Yes I do love the name Judah. His full name is Kieran Judah, but we always call him Judah. It's such a strong name. My husband and I used the only boy names we liked when our son was born. What will we ever do if we have another boy???!!
