Over or Under?
Today, I want to mention a common misunderstanding that occurs in a realm of many misunderstandings: the bathroom.
Put simply, there is a right way to hang the toilet paper, and a wrong way.
Some of you will disagree with me.
Someone in my own house disagrees with me. How do I know? They keep putting the tp on the wrong way. I have my suspicions who it is.
Yesterday, I was re-hanging the tp the RIGHT way and it suddenly struck me: How the heck can society get anywhere when people have differences as small as how to hang the toilet paper. I mean seriously? Do the differences never end?
It was kind of a discouraging thought to me. But as I considered some more, I realized that God's creation is diverse. Every tree is different from every other tree. Every planet, every star, is different from the other. Each person has a totally different fingerprint. Each person has a different and complex DNA. When Jesus called the twelve disciples – each was very different from the other! Jesus embraced diversity.
In God there is diversity.
So, even if you hang the tp the "wrong" way - I'm cool with that. It's God's design.

diversity is something that seems to be on my mind as well. but in my heart lately its been more about loving other people who are sooo much different then I am...and seeing them as a loved Human being made by Christ. thank you for the reminder..that though we often have little things that tweak us in life, that ultimately what a wonderful world God has created...with so much diversity.
atleast the other people inyour house hang the toilet paper, there is someone in our house who just sits it on top of the empty roll! Job may list that as one of his 3 things that annoy him about me on day 5 of our love dare.
@mytoesareblue - And when you consider that we never stop learning, changing or growing, it only adds to the diversity.
@nicole509 - I have a family member that does that too. I never know what to expect from the toilet paper when I go in the bathroom. lol
I'm going to go see which way our tp is hanging. lol
I was so glad to finally clean the bathrooms this morning. It's a chore that is not one of my favorites.

oh and btw...some here believe you dont have to hang the toilet paper at all! Not sure I can embrace that one though
however I have quit nagging and just hang it myself
@momtonine - I'm starting to wonder if there's even a point to hanging it. With just four kids the rolls get gone fast. I'm sure it's used even faster with nine kids!

After reading this and showing Jake the picture of the right way to hang the toilet paper he says "Yea, you hang it wrong, I always have to fix it." Ooops...I guess I never really paid attention before!
