  • Bella Bands and Peaches

Every pregnancy, I've had things that I just couldn't do without.  With my first it was peanuts and Sunny Delight, my second was watermelon, my third was pickles, my fourth was Pizza Town (friends back home in Southwest Virginia can relate).

    This pregnancy so far:

    1.  Bella Bands

I found mine on ebay and I love love love them!  I have a black and a white but I really want the red tie dye and the green/brown tie dye.  I love being able to wear my normal pre-pregnancy pants.  You can make your own.  I haven't tried yet but I'm thinking about it.  Of course depending on the cost of fabric it may be the same to just order from ebay.

    2.  Peaches

    peaches

Our little peach tree probably had four dozen peaches on it this year.  Don't tell the tribe, but I ate three dozen of them myself.  Since then, I've bought and bought peaches.  I'm averaging eating two a day.  What am I gonna do when they aren't in season anymore?

  • peaches are healthy, and bella bands are brilliant! two good things going on i'd say!

  • I completely missed that you were pregnant!  Congratulations!  That's wonderful news:)  Was I just not reading carefully enough or is this the first time you've mentioned it on Xanga?

I've never heard of a Bella Band.  So it enables you to wear regular pants and skirts during pregnancy?  That's brilliant!  I've never been able to find a pair of maternity jeans that fit well. And the peaches?  I've heard that you haven't had a peach until you've had a Georgia peach ;)

  • @foreveranoatneygirl_n2Hisown - Very true.  Can't go wrong with either.  Although, I must confess I was close to "needing" McDs french fries too frequently but I talked myself out of it rather quickly.

@inanorchard - We made our grand announcement here, http://trenttribe.xanga.com/750008987/five--our-big-news/:)   Bella Bands are wonderful!  You can wear your pants unsnapped and unzipped and the band holds everything in place and make it all appear smooth.  Which is great for after baby comes too!  It also holds up those too big maternity pants.  Not to mention it is great for extra coverage when nursing.  I don't like to show my tummy.  Oh my, the peaches are so good.  Soooo good.  And I still can't get over your inner-hillbilly. lol The tractor song is cracking me up.  I'm going to have to send you something John Deere.  lol

  •  so are Bella Bands the "new thing"? My youngest is 17 months and I have never heard of them! Maybe I just never explored much!

As for PEACHES! I love those things! I love the juice running down, I love the smell ... I don't love the fuzz though. Here in Montana, a good peach is hard to come by.

  • Oooh, I missed the big announcement too! Congratulations!! How very VERY exciting. :) ))

And I've heard so much about bella bands... I think next time I'll definitely have to try them! And peaches... I've been devouring them too! They are pretty much my favorite fresh fruit to eat! I love all the fresh fruits in the summertime!

  • @The_Carpers - I've learned since moving south that peaches come in lots of varieties and some of them have a lot less fuzz than others.  Of course, necatrines are good too!  ;)   I bought a bella band to wear after my fourth baby.  He's four now.  That was the first time I had ever heard of them.  I bought it at target.  It's very spandexy but my two new ones are a lot more like real tshirts.  Gives that layered look.  Even early in pregnancy I don't like anything tight on my stomach (silly, I know).  They have been the perfect solution for me.

@lifeisadance - Do try them!  I think you'll like.  :)   Watermelon is a BIG thing where I am.  We just had a Watermelon Festival last week.  I had some cute young fellas (ten or eleven) teach me the secret to choosing the best watermelons.  Their family sells them.  So far, their little trick works.  lol  Loving all this fruit.  Get to pick blueberries in a day or two.

  • I missed the announcement as well.  CONGRATS!  Those peaches look delish.  I want to make some peach tea popsicles.  They were in my Rachel Ray magazine but I can't find Peach Nectar?  Can you make your own peach nectar I wonder out of fresh peaches?
