Pregnant Thursday
My eyes popped open early this morning because my bladder won't let me sleep to a reasonable hour (or through the night for that matter). As I made my way to the bathroom, I felt a wave of nausea washing over me. It settled in for the day. Yuck. On the bright side, these days are fewer and farther between.
I settled on the couch to start school with my kiddos. We worked all morning. My washer and dryer were running in the back ground. Two loads of laundry a day keeps the Trent Tribe in clean clothes and clean towels. On the bright side, lunch was in the crock pot. I took a notion to put it in to slow cook the night before.
The Chief came home for lunch and spent the afternoon. Evenings this week have been late and long for him. The kids swam in the pool while he mowed the yard. Me? I took a shower and painted my toes silver.
The evening finds me back on the couch still feeling yuck. Momentarily I will inspect teeth, read a bible story, kiss cheeks, listen to bed time prayers, and turn out the lights. I will remind myself that "pregnant Thursday" is just a season and oh the sweetness it will bring.
Be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead!

I liked this post! A sweet glimpse of your day and family life:) I don't like that you are still not feeling well, but I love your attitude
That was an impressive lunch by the way!
@inanorchard - You always leave the nicest comments. I'm just wondering one thing - are you still singing about "sexy tractors"?
@TrentTribe - Oh you know I am
the crockpot has been my friend all summer too.
this is a very sweet post. thanks for sharing. It is nice to read a post from a happy woman who loves her children and the season she is in.
What translation is that verse in I Peter? I sure like the encouragement that offers!
@Sevenofus - A friend gave me a page of bible verses for pregnancy. This is one of the verses. I wasn't sure of the translation but when I looked it up it is the New Living Translation (NLT). It's nice to focus on different verses to calm my fears and lift my spirit. I thought it was really sweet of my friend. I've been focusing on a different one each week.
@frathousecook - Crock pots are wonderful! Just wonderful.
Thanks for your kind words.
