Random Thoughts on a Monday
1. I have four half written blog posts and yet nothing to say today. 2. My kitchen floor REALLY needs sweeping. Fall spice in my candle warmer makes my house smell so yummy.
3. I kissed the Chief goodbye way too early.
4. I woke up with something weighing heavily on my mind. You see, I find myself troubled by those who always want to lay claim to some new spiritual truth or revelation but rarely practice what they hear. I have heard it said that, "You will be the same person in five years as you are today except for the people you meet and the books you read." Here's the thing, I know people who spend a fortune on books and devote lots of time to reading them but they don't practice anything they read. They don't put into action any of the knowledge they gain. Just as important as devoting ourselves to seeking out knowledge, to gaining spiritual truth and revelation is that we allow these things to actually make us better.
5. I am meant to do more than just survive another Monday. "The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly." John 10:10
Have an abundant Monday!

Yeah for living abundantly this Monday and not just getting through the day...Just the pick me up I needed straight from God's Word:)
Thanks for sharing~
We tell our kids that Proverbs talks alot about wisdom vs. knowledge. Wisdom being the APPLICATION of the knowledge they have gained. Many times I forget to use wisdom myself though.
I've read before that we cannot let the immediate determine our priorities. Often, I find that I get caught up in the here and now (the current emergency) and I let that drive my circumstances.
"an abundant Monday".. mine has been very tiring, but God's love is over abundant, which is exactly what I need! Bless you, dear Girl!
@Sevenofus - "Wisdom being the application of knowledge" Very good point!
