What's up with October?
October is my favorite month. I love the fall colors, the cooler weather, the smells, the pumpkins, the mums... Honestly, it is the BEST month.
Once in a while, I like to look back in my blog archives to see what I was doing the previous years. Wow! I discovered that October has been a really busy month for me for a while now.
October 2009: We were showing our house again and again and again. Which is no small feat when you homeschool four kids. But showing leads to selling which was a really really good thing.

October 2010: We were closing (finally) and moving into our Elkanah House.
October 2011: Doctors appointments, doctors appointments, and preparing for baby. It kinda stinks to not be twenty anymore. Thirty-five and pregnant is a whole 'nother thing. After some stressful days, everything is good. Baby and I are doing great. Best of all? We don't have to see the doc until November! Worst of all? Gestational Diabetes. Finger pokes. Low carb diet. It's not all bad though. My case is mild (meaning I have barely over the borderline numbers easily controlled with diet). Avoiding medicine with diet, not gaining a lot of pregnancy weight, and bacon are all good things.
Next October? Who knows. It is still my favorite month.

I was 36 when I had my last baby - the hospital considered me "high-risk." But my midwife assured me that since it was my 7th - I didn't fall into that category.
@Sevenofus - Oh how these doctors make me weary.
Sometimes we just have to prove them wrong.
