  • Josiah Update: 2 months

    100_5380

    Weight - 12lbs 9-1/2 oz

    Length - 24 inches

Just like big sister Gracie, he smiles so big his eyes close to make room for it.

Diaper changes are a great time to strrrrrr-etch.  He really enjoys his stretches.  Every little bit. Oh how I love that.

Baths are a happy time.  Naked is a happy time.

I think I'm getting soft in my "old age" because all of our babies slept through the night by now.  Not Josiah.  Every 2 hours.  Day and night.

If I wasn't nursing a baby, I'd just have some caffeine and get on with the day.  I think that might be the worst part.  Lack of sleep and no caffeine.

Things I cherish:  the feel of his peach fuzz head against my cheek, the sweet baby smell, and the sound of his little squeaks and coos.

Josiah is settling into life on the outside quite well.  We'll get through the sleep deprivation.  Eventually.

  • He is so adorable!!!.  He is definitely worth the sleep deprivation imho!         I know no one asked for my opinion.

  • @oldfatgramma - I appreciate your opinion and I happen to agree!  ;)

  • Oh, I just love his look! I can almost hear his squeaks. What a little Lovie. Maybe if you eat some mushrooms, he'll feel more like sleeping.

  • awe! He could almost make my overies start twitching again!

  • Sweetie!  I love this happy post.  And isn't it nice to calm down as a mom and realize that sleep deprivation won't last forever?  :)   Enjoy him.  I know you are.

  • @Richgem - Serious about the mushrooms?  I love mushrooms but I don't think I've had any to eat lately.  Thanks for your sweet comments about my baby.

@The_Carpers - Boy, do I know about those "twitching" ovaries.  ;)

@quiet_hearts - There are lessons only experience can teach.  Savoring each day is at the top of my list.

  • It's just a guess. I take Lion's Mane (which is ground up mushrrom in pill form) to calm my nerves. It works, and I sleep better. I'd check with a doc first. But, I think it'd be okay.

  • that first shot cracks me up, like, "mom, really? another picture?" then he decides to just go with it and gives you that big huge grin in the second. :) he's ADORABLE. and yes.. sleep shall come again. i promise, promise!! :)

  • @grace_to_be - It's so fun to capture all their silly faces!  :)   I shall be very joyful when sleep comes again.  ;)

  • Oh I also wanted to tell you We are also called the lighthouse church MY blog ishttp://www.teshastreasures.com/ many blessing

  • Hi again I guess my original comment did not post... I said you have a beautiful family and blog. I recently started a blog to cope with the grief of losing my sixth child--stillborn 1-24-12. Grief is very isolating compounded by ministry, I am happy about this link up to connect pastor's wives.

  • @teshapapik - It's nice to meet you.  (I'm clicking the link to your blog momentarily.)  I'm excited to connect with other pastor's wives too.  So sorry about the loss of your precious baby. Such a difficult loss to experience.  Prayers for you, new friend.
