I've been in the mood for a St. Patrick's Day craft. The closest craft store is an hour away. So I want to make something with stuff I have on hand.
I have a green hand towel in my scrap fabrics. It is worn in places and getting outdated. (Perfect for crafting.) I freehand cut a heart template out of a manilla folder. I found a green button that is really the other half of a lost snap. I had one pin back left in my craft box. Using the template, I cut out four hearts shapes plus one extra heart (not pictured) for a later step.
I stitched the points of the first two hearts together.
Stitched the third.
Stitched the fourth.
Button sown in the center.
Hot glued the heart template to the back of the clover for added stiffness. I didn't want my four-leaf clover to be floppy.
I folded the fifth heart shape in half top to bottom. Placing my pin on it. I snipped tiny slits were each end of the pin lined up.
Then I put the pin through the heart to make a pretty back. Hot glued this to the heart template on the back of the clover.
There you have it. A St. Patrick's Day Four-Leaf Clover!
