  • Naughty or Nice?

Did you know Santa publishes his naughty or nice list online now?  Go to  Santa’s Naughty or Nice web site, enter your name, and find out which list you are on.

Here's what Santa had to say about me,

Nice, but with a few naughty marks. Neatness needs improvement. Behavior has been good sometimes, not so good other times. Manners could still use some attention. Was very nice last Monday.

You know, I think a lot of people think God is like Santa Claus.  They think He sits on his throne up in heaven and looks down to see if we are being naughty or nice.  If we do more nice things than naughty things, we'll be on the "good" list.

None of us can earn the "good" list.

And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God has given us this task of reconciling people to him. For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation. So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!” For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:18-21

It's a good thing, too.  Seeing how, I made the nice list last Monday and it's all gone down hill from there.  lol

  • Here it is in a nutshell,

If you want to motivate me, inspire me.

If you want to direct me, lead the way.

If you want to encourage my ambition, ignite the fire with your enthusiasm.

  • Cardboard Testimonies

These never grow old.  I cry buckets everytime I watch.  Our church is doing this on Sunday.  I'm so excited!  I might cry a river!

  • Lest you think my life is perfect...

I have a lot of laundry to do.  Every.Single.Day.  I have four kids, you know.

I've already had to stop and restart this post two times three times.  I have four kids, you know.

The chief is working two jobs.  Cause we got to pay for stuff.  I have four kids, you know.

My house is full of loud noises.  I have four kids, you know.

I have help putting away the laundry.  I have four kids, you know.

I have an endless supply of hugs and kisses.  I have four kids, you know.

The chief can't wait to get home.  I have four kids, you know.

My house is full of laughter.  I have four kids, you know.

Only if you have been in the deepest valley,

can you ever know how magnificent it is to be on the highest mountain.

  • Repost: Lion's Den Lessons

    prayer

    Reposted from November 08:

Daniel in the lion's den. The lessons are very clear. Stand firm in a time of testing and trial.  Daniel did just that. He was faithful.  He loved the Lord. He was a praying man.

Daniel would rather spend the night with the lions than to miss a day in prayer. What keeps us from prayer?

When a train goes through a tunnel and it gets dark, you don't throw away the ticket and jump off. You sit still and trust the engineer.
