  • Lazy 4th

We enjoyed our 4th at home.  We had hamburgers, watermelon, and strawberry delight.  We swam, ate, swam, and watched fireworks on our front porch in our pajamas.  Josiah startled a little and then decided he kinda liked the big booms and bright lights.  The Chief manned our fireworks or "arsenal" as the men in our family like to call it.  Sparklers were lit.  Everyone came through uninjured.  I breathed a sigh of relief (thank you, Jesus!).  We remembered how proud we are to be Americans.  How much we love God and our country.  We never want to take forgranted our freedom or those who protect our freedom.

  • Dog didn't mind the fireworks???  Ours went absolutely crazy when the people behind us set some off.  She shook half the night.  I finally had to give her a benadryl.  Love the pix!  You have gorgeous children!

  • @oldfatgramma - Aw... poor puppy.  Our puppy didn't seem to mind the noise.  She's pretty rowdy.  We need her to calm down tons.

  • they just legalized fireworks here, i personally am frightened of them, so jeff has promised not to buy any ;) --karen

  • Wow, you did have an arsenal! Those things were not allowed this year. At least there was an official fireworks display and we'd just had a nice, much needed rainfall.  I'm guessing our pooch slept through everything, The neighbors haven't called to complain! Your baby's eyes are so big and pretty!
