  • 2013 Reading List

I love to read.  I've set a goal to read 52 books in 2013.  Here's some of the books I've picked out so far.

Any recommendations for me?  I've still got 39 more selections to make.  :)

  • This is my kind of post! :) my husband always tells me I should have a running list of the books I read. This year I'm going to do it! Wonderful goal to set for yourself :)

  • oh my goodness...love all those choices. especially Jen Hatmaker, Francis Chan, Angie Smith and Lysa Tyrkhurst. What a beautiful plan to read so many books. i'd love to do that too.

  • I usually read at least that many books but I have never made a list of what I was planning to read.......I pretty much read what are in the inspired reads and pixel of ink emails.........free is always good and they usually have good choices.

  • @oldfatgramma - Check out this link!  http://thefrugalgirls.com/category/free-e-books  I'm going to be reading books from there in addition to the books above.  :)

  • @fourkidsonemom - It does give a sense of accomplishment.  :)

  • @mytoesareblue - I've heard it said that, “The only things that will cause you to change over the years are the books you read and the people you meet.”  I'm enjoying both!  :)

  • from one reader to another---what a cool goal!
i noticed mark batterson's books. which i loveLOVE.
we even visited his church back in november!
and plan to go back on occasion when we can.
the circle maker was given to us in our visitor's package.

off the top of my head..."when the day breaks and shadows flee,"
and also mark's book "in a pit with a lion."
i have a post about that book in my head!

  • wow, that's a lot of books and looks like a great list.  I haven't sat down and actually read a book like that in ages...now get me books on audio and I'm  in  :)

  • @down_onthefarm - Thanks for the recommends.  Finished Circle Maker.  Very good.  Looking forward to more from him.  So cool that you were able to visit his church!  Love the exciting things I hear going on there.  :)

  • @redladybug18 - The good news for you is that most all books are available audio. I've heard it said that, “The only things that will cause you to change over the years are the books you read and the people you meet.”  Guess that applies to the books you listen to.  ;)

  • what a great list! i've not heard of a lot of these titles....how did you come to know of them? i tend to get in a rut with reading...i've been disappointed with new authors sometimes, so i tend to stick with safe authors, i.e. authors i like.
i really like all your goals that you've set for this year! i think it's quite awesome and rather inspirational as well!

  • @foreveranoatneygirl_n2Hisown - Some of them are bloggers and ministers that I follow.  Some of them were recommended to me by other bloggers or friends. I read a sample of Jen Hatmaker's book and I can already tell I'm going to want to read more of her books.  :)
